We have implemented investor-friendly policies, streamlined regulations, and offer attractive fiscal incentives to ensure a smooth and profitable investment experience. Foreign investors are allowed to own 100% shareholding for mining operations in all minerals in the country. There are no restrictions on shareholding for foreigners.
Tourist Arrivals in Zimbabwe continue to recover from their impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. For 2023 the sector is expected to show a significant growth both in terms of tourism arrivals (up by 50% for the first six months in comparison to the same period in 2022) and new investements (up 100% for the same period). Tourism authorities aim to reach the all time high of 2579974.00 of tourism arrivals of 2018.

- All companies operating in Zimbabwe must honor their tax obligations and should therefore register as a taxpayer with the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority. Proof of tax compliance may be requested in the form of a Tax Clearance Certificate issued by the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority in the process of acquiring sector-specific permits/approvals or opening a bank account.
- All employers in Zimbabwe must be registered with the National Social Security Authority. Proof of compliance may be requested in the form of a Compliance Certificate issued by the National Social Security Authority. It is also a requirement that all employers register their employees with the National Social Security Authority.
Investment Opportunities
The tourism sector is one of the four pillars of the economy, alongside agriculture, manufacturing, and mining. Tourism is expected to increase exponentially its contribution to the GDP. Tourism receipts are expected to increase from US$886 million in 2015 to over $3 billion by 2020. Increased tourism investment opportunities can be unlocked through the National Tourism Master Plan, Tourism Development Zones, and the Trans-Frontier Conservation areas.
