For 2023 the sector is expected to show a significant growth both in terms of tourism arrivals (up by 50% for the first six months in comparison to the same period in 2022) and new investements (up 100% for the same period). Tourism authorities aim to reach the all time high of 2579974.00 of tourism arrivals of 2018.

Tourism receipts are expected to increase from US$886 million in 2015 to over $3 billion by 2020.
